<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air washer of high cleaning efficiency for efficiently and sufficiently absorbing and eliminating a harmful gas component contained in air. <P>SOLUTION: The air washer 1 is provided with a casing 2 for forming an air passage of air to be cleaned, a plurality of cleaning elements 3 provided along the air passage, cleaning liquid supply pipes 4a-4d for supplying cleaning liquid from an upper part of the respective cleaning elements 3, and drains 5a-5d for discharging the cleaning liquid flowed through the respective cleaning elements 3.
