<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cool down a display panel preferably in a projection display device such as a liquid-crystal projector. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The projection display device has a display panel (100) that displays an image by projecting light, a cooling wind generating section (200) that generates cooling wind for cooling down the display panel, and a cooling wind supply pipe (300) that leads the cooling wind to at least one face of the display panel from the cooling wind generating section.
