PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber-reinforced resin reinforcement tank that has on its internal sursurface a metal liner that prevents corrosion of the jointed portions of metal liners due to a corrosive substance by eliminating a gap in the joint between the metal liner members disposed on the internal surface of the tank and composing the metal liner, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: In the fiber-reinforced resin reinforcement tank, backing plates 4 made of metal are disposed to cover the entire circumferences of the peripheral surfaces where the annular end surface of a cylindrical metal liner member 3a and the annular end surfaces of dome-like metal liner members 3b and 3c are butted. The internal surface of the area where they are joined is welded along its entire circumference from the inside of the cylindrical metal liner member 3a. The metal liner members 3a, 3b, and 3c whose end surfaces are butted together with the backing plate 4 are joined to form the metal liner 3, and fiber-reinforced resin 2 is integrated with the external sursurface of the metal liner 3.
