PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for a water-based ballpoint pen having excellent sliding properties of handwriting and condition of pen and ink stability with time. SOLUTION: The ink composition for a water-based ballpoint pen includes at least water, a colorant, a surfactant and an acetylene alcohol.
