<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image measuring apparatus and a computer program, capable of precisely, simply and quickly measuring a shape of an object to be measured in accordance with the size of a part of the object to be measured, by using an image obtained at a low or high power in magnification, without mechanically changing any optical system. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The apparatus includes; a display means 332 for displaying a low-magnification image or a high-magnification image photographed concentrically with the low-magnification image, such that view field centers of both images are positioned on the approximate center of its screen; an edge part receiving means 333 for receiving a designation of an edge part on the low-magnification image or the high-magnification image; a determining means 334 for determining whether or not an image representing the designated edge part is included in one high-magnification image, when moving the image representing the edge part to the approximate center of the low-magnification image; and a measurement value calculating means 335 for calculating a measurement value of the object to be measured, based on a coordinate value of an edge point of the edge part obtained on the one high-magnification image, in the case the determination is made that the image is included in the one high-magnification image.
