<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch operation determining device whose cost can be restrained by diverting existing components for use therein and whose degree of accuracy in determination can be enhanced. <P>SOLUTION: The touch operation determining device 2 is mounted on the steering 10 of a vehicle 1 and substantially includes: a left heater wire 13 that warms the steering 10 by energization; an oscillation section 20, which is electrically connected to the left heater wire 13, and impresses a high-frequency signal T1 to the left heater wire 13; a left touch electrode 26, which is provided at a position where the operator of a vehicle 1 can perform touch operations, while gripping the steering 10, and is electrically connected to the left heater wire 13, based on the electrostatic capacitive coupling caused by the left heater wire 13 and the operator due to the operator's gripping action of the steering 10; and a touch determining section 29, which is electrically connected to the left touch electrode 26 and determines a touch operation, based on an outputting signal R1 which is based on the electrostatic capacitive coupling by the operation's touch operation to the left-touch electrode 26 and of the left-touch electrode 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
