<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular seat belt device capable of ensuring compatibility between quick winding at the winding stage of webbing and reduction of oppressive feeling at an occupant restriction stage, and its control method. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicular seat belt device is provided with a lateral acceleration sensor 29 and a yaw rate sensor 31, and a controller 21 is provided with a target current setting means 34 for periodically setting a target current for energizing a motor 10 based on a sensor signal. Furthermore, the controller 21 is provided with a standard current control means 35 for controlling energizing current for the motor 10 so as to agree with the target current set by the target current setting means 34, a holding current control means 36 for energizing the motor 10 at a low current capable of keeping a clutch 20 in a connection state, and a current control selection means 37 for selecting either the standard current control means 35 or the holding current control means 36 according to the temporal change of the target current. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
