<p>PURPOSE: A method for protecting an electrode of an electric furnace is provided to prevent the loss of the electrode of the electric furnace and to reduce the working delay time. CONSTITUTION: A method for protecting an electrode of an electric furnace comprises: a step of connecting to a scrap by descending using an elevating unit and by charging the scrap to a main body(S10); a step of separating an impulse fixation pin which restricts the impulse of the main body from(S20); a step of separating an impulse stopper which restricts the impulse of the main body(S30); a step of increasing the electrode to the specified height(S40); a step of tilting the main body to the electricity using an impulse member(S50); and a step of melting the scrap using arc heat by descending the electrode to the original position(S60).</p> |
