摘要 One embodiment relates to an optical navigation apparatus. The apparatus includes a hole in a surface of the apparatus, a light source providing an illuminating beam through said hole, an imaging system configured to receive light generated by an illuminated portion of a finger placed above said hole and to produce an image from the light at a detector plane, and a tracking sensor array positioned at the detector plane that is configured to detect lateral movement of said finger relative to said hole. In addition, the apparatus includes a lift sensor positioned at the detector plane that is configured to detect lifting of said finger above said surface of the apparatus.
