PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vulcanizing bladder for a BOM type vulcanizing apparatus restraining air from remaining between a tire inner surface and the vulcanizing bladder to reduce the occurrence of a defective tire and preventing a bladder life from being shortened to improve productivity. SOLUTION: The vulcanizing bladder for the BOM type vulcanizing apparatus is expanded in contact with the inner surface of a green tire to press the green tire to a die surface for molding. The vulcanizing bladder comprises a drum part with its center part projected radially outward, and flange parts continuous with the upper and lower ends of the drum part. Each flange part forms an opening. The meridian cross-sectional shape of the drum part is formed of upper and lower grip parts continuous with the respective flange parts; upper and lower straight line parts extending radially outward to the center part from the respective grip parts; and the center part that connects the respective straight line parts to each other with a gentle curve.
