PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten visibility of information displayed according to a traveling state or the like of a vehicle or the like. SOLUTION: This navigation device 10 has: an LCD 16 (display means) for displaying an electronic map; a GPS receiver 17 (position information acquisition means) capable of acquiring position information; a CPU 11 (route searching means) for searching for a route from a prescribed spot to a destination, and determining a guide route; a guide display means for guiding along the guide route displayed on the LCD 16 (display means); an HDD 13 (part of a storage means) for storing the guide display means and information other than the guide display means; and the CPU 11 (display control means) for controlling so as not to display other information other than the guide display means on the LCD 16 (display means), when a position acquired by the GPS receiver 17 (position information acquisition means) is on the guide route.
