A seat body for vehicles has a padding (6) made of plastic material foam and provided with through holes (8); the padding (6) is covered by an upholstery covering (20) having a fabric layer (21) and a hygroscopic layer (22), which are heat-fixed together; the fabric layer (21) defines a support surface (5) for a user, while the material of the hygroscopic layer (22) is an open-cell polyurethane foam having a cell mean linear density less than or equal to 15 cell/cm.
