<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilation member for eave soffit capable of achieving ventilation functions inside and outside the eave soffit sufficiently and buffering the force received from eave soffit plates satisfactorily. <P>SOLUTION: A ventilation member body 1 is a channel-shaped longitudinal bar-like member made of an elastic material, a plurality of holes 11a, 11a, etc. are provided in a groove bottom part 11, and sidewall parts 12, 12 are provided in fringe parts on both sides of the groove bottom part 11, respectively. Spacer flanges 13 having the predetermined thickness and directed outward are protrudedly formed at the predetermined interval in the longitudinal direction therebetween at end fringes 12a of both of these sidewall parts 12, 12. The body 1 is nipped and held between the eave soffit plates B and B to join them. The joint part of these eave soffit plates B, B is assembled on an eave rafter N, and the spacer flange 13 is nipped and held between the eave rafter N and the eave soffit plate B to create a clearance having size of wall thickness of the spacer flange 13 between the end fringe 12a of the sidewall part 12 and the eave rafter N in order to ventilate the inside and outside of the eave soffit between these spacer flanges 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
