PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spectrophotometer 1 which enables a measuring person to easily arrange cells filled with a solution and light reduction plates (filters) regardless of whether the measuring person is familiar with the content of tests. SOLUTION: The spectrophotometer 1 includes a cell positioner 7 for samples and a cell positioner 8 for contrast. The cell positioner 7 for samples includes frames 71-74 for samples capable of arranging a plurality of cells SB, etc. for samples and replaces the cells SB etc. for samples to be arranged on a sample optical path 4 by moving the frames 71-74 for samples. The cell positioner 8 for contrast includes frames 81 and 82 for contrasting, capable of arranging a plurality of cells RB and RA for contrast and replaces the cells RB and RA for contrast to be arranged on a contrast optical path 5 by moving the frames 81 and 82 for contrast. A control part CONT arranges the cells SB etc. for samples and the cells RB and RA for contrast required for tests each in the frames 71-74 for samples and the frames 81 and 82 for contrast to control the replacement of the cells SB etc. for samples and the replacement of the cells RB and RA for contrast and computes transmittance to perform the tests.
