<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitting belt having fundamentally different principle and mechanism and extremely excellent action effects compared to a conventional belt-belt for a CVT belt and a transmission using such a transmitting belt. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The transmission includes a plurality of pulleys (P)... and the closed-loop transmitting belt (B) threaded between the pulleys (P)..., and the transmitting belt (B) runs in a closed-loop state along pulley turning paths (R1) turning around respective pulleys (P)... and paths (R2) between the pulleys (P)... The pulley turning paths (R1) are formed into first arcs (A1) whose centers coincide with the centers of the respective pulleys (P)..., and the paths (R2) between the pulleys are formed into second arcs (A2) between the adjacent pulleys (P), (P).
