The invention relates to an adapator for transferring electromagnetic power between the waveguide and a planar circuit having the following features: - a suspended stripline is inserted into the support of the waveguide, in the direction of its course; said suspended stripline has a centre conductor which projects into the waveguide at the transfer point by a probe length IS; - the waveguide ends under the stripline in a short-circuiting waveguide of length IK and reduced height; - a slot is inserted into the upper broad side of the short-circuiting waveguide, between it and the stripline, the width Br of which slot is tapered over the length IK.
