<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastewater treatment apparatus and wastewater treatment method which can save introduction cost and also keep a running cost low by carrying out decoloring highly efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: The wastewater treatment apparatus keep an auxiliary flocculation tank 10, a first precipitator 3, an active-carbon adsorption tank 4, a flocculation tank 5, and a second precipitator 6, installed in series in the rear step of a second aeration tank 2, and also an air lift 6a for returning sludge from the second precipitator 6 to the auxiliary flocculation tank 10, wherein an active carbon having a residual adsorption capacity is contained in the sludge which has undergone an active-carbon adsorption treatment and a flocculation treatment in the active-carbon adsorption tank 4 and the second precipitator 6, and therefore the sludge containing the active carbon having the residual adsorption capacity is returned to the auxiliary flocculation tank 10, so that the adsorption capacity of the active carbon is utilized thoroughly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
