The present invention relates to a buckle, and more particularly, to an improved buckle which is mounted as a pair of female and male members on respective ends of a strap attached, as a connector, to articles including knapsacks for mounting climbing, bags, clothing and waist belts, or of a wide variety of belts, such that the female and male members are coupled with each other in a way that they are detachable from each other. The buckle of the present invention has merits in that a latch means thereof is not exposed outwardly, thereby achieving aesthetic enhancement and allowing the buckle to be engaged/detached with/from each other in an easy and simple fashion.
