<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer and a printing method, capable of preventing information due to a printed matter from being leaked, and capable of dispensing with waiting for finish of long time printing, in front of the printer against a user's will, and a computer program. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An MFP receives a printing data for confidential printing (S201), determines whether the received printing data is transferred from other printer or not (S202), and determines either of an output bottle with a key openable and closable by the key outputtable in a form with the printing data printed on a paper sheet, or a holding part capable of holding the printing data, and capable of taking out the held printing data for printing, based on user authentication, as a side to be output of the received printing data.
