摘要 The invention relates to the providing of a method and a device for the automated position correction of mechanical work pieces to be machined or re-machined, in particular of work pieces having complex, for example bulged, surfaces, said method using a correlation analysis between a pre-recorded reference image and a work piece image reflecting the actual situation for calculating the position shift of an insert work piece relative to the position shown in the reference image, and forwarding said position shift, optionally in the form of a position correction, to the tool and/or to a clamping device. The correlation analysis substantially comprises the following steps: Transforming both images from the x-y domain to the Fourier domain; determining the convolution integral; back-transforming the convolution integral to the x-y domain; determining the x-y position of the maximum of the convolution integral. The x-y position of the maximum then corresponds precisely to the position shift sought. Because of the possibility of automation and the associated elimination of manual activities, a significant gain in reliability and significant time savings are accomplished.
