The exchanger has a dissipation unit (8) formed by fins for dissipating heat produced by a metastable solution (S) e.g. acetic acid solution of sodium salt, where an air flow is passed through the dissipation unit. The solution is housed inside a storage unit (9) and contains ethylene glycol and gelling agent. The storage unit is formed by plates (12, 13) and a closing plate (14). An activation unit e.g. electrical discharge or micro-vibration unit, provokes exothermic reaction of the solution. Engine coolant (11) regenerates the solution.
