PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire connection method wherein a displacement of a wire connection portion from a stator can be reduced during wire connection work. SOLUTION: At a placement step, a connection end 11a of a coil pulled out of the end of a cylindrical stator 3 on one side in the axial direction is placed at a wire connection portion 33 provided in a metal terminal 15. At a first positioning step, the first abutment portion 56 of a first positioning jig 51 is placed in a wire connection position P set on the stator 3 in correspondence with a position where the wire connection portion 33 at the end of the stator 3 on the one side in the axial direction should be placed. At a second positioning step, the second abutment portion 65 of a second positioning jig 61 is moved toward the first abutment portion 56 placed in the wire connection position P and the wire connection portion 33 is clamped by the second abutment portion 65 and the first abutment portion 56 from the circumferential direction. At a joining step, the wire connection portion 33 clamped by the first abutment portion 56 and the second abutment portion 65 and the connection end 11a are joined and connected together by welding.
