<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die, for forming a honeycomb structure, which can realize high moldability and can hardly allow releasing of two pieces of plate member constituting a die block base. <P>SOLUTION: The die 1 for forming a honeycomb structure has a die base 22 consisting of a first plate member 23 with a back hole 6 for introducing a molding raw material and a second plate member 24 with a slit 5 for molding the molding raw material into a lattice pattern. The first plate member 23 has a plurality of columnar parts 8, each with at least, a part which is compartmented by a slit-like groove part 7 corresponding with the shape of a slit 5, on the side of a joint face 28 of the second plate member 24. The columnar part 8 is constituted in such a way that the ratio (L/T) of the height L of the columnar part 8 to the minimum width T on the edge face of a joint face 28 side, falls within the range of 1/3 to 3.5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
