The mobile computing device includes a memory configured to store a wireless network coverage data and a geographic data; a location determination circuit configured to provide a location data for the mobile computing device; and a processing circuit configured to determine that the mobile computing device is in a transition zone and to download via the transceiver circuit additional geographic data based on the determination.
