PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel that prevents display irregularities and has excellent viewing angle characteristics. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes: first and second opposed substrates; liquid crystal held between the first and second substrates; a plurality of pixel electrodes, a bus line, and an alignment film provided to the inner surface side of the first substrate; and a common electrode and an alignment film provided to the inner surface side of the second substrate. At least one of the alignment films on the first and second substrates is subjected to processing for aligning the liquid crystal in a predetermined direction, and the alignment film on the second substrate is provided with a bank structure of 0.1 to 0.15μm at a position corresponding to the bus line on the first substrate.
