<p>A method and equipment for transmitting a message based on the layer-2 tunnel protocol are provided. The method includes: when the traffic flow needs to be transmitted from the network side to the user side via the layer-2 tunnel protocol QinQ final equipment, firstly the transmitting address information corresponding to the user side is obtained by searching the DHCP snooping binding list according to the user IP address information in the traffic flow message. So it is not required that the ARP request message is transmitted in all the VLAN tag fields of the QinQ final interface. The traffic flow could be transmitted to the user side just according to the obtained transmitting address information. Therefore, the condition could be avoided that the network channel is blocked, which is caused by transmitting a great number of ARP messages. And it saves the network resource, effectively reduces the operating load of the low hanging exchange equipment and improves the quality of network operation.</p> |
