A message buffering system for transmitting data during a video call and a method thereof are provided to promptly transmit data to a receiver terminal after connection by making a caller set and store the transmitted data in advance. A message buffering server(300) makes a caller set and store data to be transmitted to a receiver during video call connection. If a receiver mobile terminal(500) is responded, the message buffering server promptly transmits the set data to the receiver mobile terminal. If packet data is received from the message buffering server, the receiver mobile terminal temporarily stores the packet data. If an ID code corresponding to the received packet data is received from a caller mobile terminal(100), the receiver mobile terminal extracts and displays the packet data matched with the ID code.
