PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip forming machine capable of rapidly and efficiently forming an electrode chip in a usable manner while reducing the amount of cut waste. SOLUTION: The chip forming machine M forms a pair of electrode chips 6 having a diameter enlarging part 6c wherein the diameter increases from an edge of a fore end face 6a to a columnar root part side, in a usable manner. In the chip forming machine M, a large diameter forming unit 50 capable of forming the diameter enlarging part and a cutter part 56 for cutting and forming the fore end face 6a are arranged on a holder 27. The large diameter forming unit comprises a fixed forming unit 52 and a movable forming unit 60 which is brought close to the turning center axis O along the direction X orthogonal to the turning center axis O of the holder, and forms the diameter enlarging part while being pressed along the direction X orthogonal to the turning center axis O. The movable forming unit comprises a large diameter forming face 62 for forming the diameter enlarging part and a fore end forming face 64 for forming the fore end face 6a of the electrode chips.
