PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electrical machine capable of effectively suppressing a relative displacement of a stator in the axis length direction and in the peripheral direction, and to provide a fuel cell system equipped with the same. SOLUTION: The rotating electrical machine 1 is equipped with a case 2 including an operation chamber 29, the stator 3 provided in the operation chamber 29 of the case 2, a winding wound around the stator 3, a rotor 5 rotatably provided in the operation chamber 29 of the case 2, and a resin mold section 6 for covering the stator 3. The case 2 is equipped with a first engagement section 8 to be engaged with the stator 3 in a direction along the axis length direction of the rotor 5, and a second engagement section 86 to be engaged with the resin mold section 6 in a direction along the peripheral direction of the rotor 5.
