<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-depressant/anti-stress agent and beverages and foodstuffs having an excellent anti-depressing and anti-stressing activity by solving a problem such that since in this modern dizzily changing society, it is difficult to live without getting stresses, depression said to be caused by the stresses etc. becomes a large social issue as one of present age diseases. <P>SOLUTION: This anti-depressant/anti-stress agent contains proanthocyanidine as an active ingredient.
