A display apparatus and a method of manufacturing the same are provided to enable a user to perform the inspection of a gate line and a data line after unit process in which a thin film is formed. A display apparatus includes a pixel region, a first substrate, a second substrate, a gate line, a data line, a pixel electrode, a common electrode and a first inspection pad. In the first substrate, a first pad region and a second pad region are defined. The second substrate faces the first substrate. The gate line is formed on the first substrate, and the gate pad is prepared in the first pad region. The data line is formed on the first substrate and includes a data pad in the second pad region. The pixel electrode is formed in a pixel region(PA), and the common electrode is formed on the second substrate. |
