<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication unit capable of improving processing efficiency at higher-level equipment and improving scalability of a sensor to be connected with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The communication unit 2 connects a plurality of serially connected sensor units 3 with higher-level equipment 4. The sensor units 3 automatically have their addresses set in order of connection. The memory of the communication unit 2 stores address correspondence information for showing correlation between setting addresses of the respective sensor units 3 set automatically and transmission addresses that show one (bit) for storing results of detection of the sensor units 3 in frame data to be transmitted to the higher-level equipment 4. The communication unit 2 transmits the frame data in which the result of detection of the sensor units 3 is stored in the corresponding transmission address on the basis of the address correspondence information stored in the memory. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
