PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner binder for electrophotography having good hot offset resistance and low-temperature fixing characteristics and causing no deterioration in image quality during running time. SOLUTION: The toner binder comprises a styrene copolymer A having a functional group (a) and a styrene copolymer B having a functional group (b). The weight average molecular weight of the styrene copolymer (A) is 400,000-1,500,000, and that of the styrene copolymer (B) is 3,000-30,000. A content of the functional group (a) in the copolymer A is 0.004-0.15 mol/kg, and that of the functional group (b) in the styrene copolymer (B) is 0.004-0.15 mol/kg. A combination of the functional groups (a) and (b) is a combination of a carboxyl group and/or a carboxylic anhydride group and a glycidyl group. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
