<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for reforming a hydrocarbon or oxygen-containing hydrocarbon being a liquid at normal temperature and normal pressure, which has high catalytic activity and improved durability and to provide a method for producing a hydrogen-containing gas, particularly, hydrogen for a fuel cell using the catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst for reforming the hydrocarbon or oxygen-containing hydrocarbon comprises Ni, Mg, Al, at least one noble metal element selected from Pt, Pd, Ir, Rh and Ru, further Ba and/or Sr. The method for producing the hydrogen-containing gas comprises a step of reforming the hydrocarbon or oxygen-containing hydrocarbon using the catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
