PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase impact resistance to magnetic head jumping operation and collision operation of balance mass body, and to improve a resonance frequency of a vibration mode. SOLUTION: The suspension includes an elastically deformable elastic plate having the one end part and the other end part joined to a pair of supporting pieces extended from width-direction both sides in a supporting portion to a distal end side thereof, as a load bending part. A region of a pair of the supporting pieces closer to a proximal end side than a region to which the elastic plate is joined is made wider toward the proximal end side from the distal end side while both of an inner side edge and an outer side edge are closer to a suspension longitudinal-direction center line. The supporting portion becomes narrower toward the proximal end side from the distal end side in accordance with an outside edge shape of an arm region and also is made wider toward the proximal end side from the distal end side. The narrowest part is positioned between a proximal end part position of a concave part sectioned by a pair of supporting pieces and a position at which an extension line of the inner side edge of the arm region is crossed to the longitudinal direction center line, with respect to a suspension longitudinal direction position.
