<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air filter having improved adhesiveness between the expanded porous polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) film and an air permeable support material without impairment of the mechanical strength and air permeability of the air permeable support material. <P>SOLUTION: The air filter consists of an air permeable support material 1 having areas in which fibers of different diameters are entangled with each other and a porous polytetrafluoroethylene film 2, laminated together. In the air permeable support material 1, the average diameter of fibers in the surface on which the porous polytetrafluoroethylene film 2 is laminated is smaller than that of fibers in the back surface of the air permeable support material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
