The windscreen wiper unit (22) is assembled of a pair of rubber elements (26), elastic holding units (30,32), and holding arms (38) joined to the drive (40) located behind the dashboard. The working position of the wiper unit (22) causes a danger to a pedestrian in case of a collision with the vehicle. The shafts connected to the drive and moving the wipers (26,30,32,38) are joined to a component of the vehicle with a screw guided through a sleeve and a sealing ring. The sleeve is provided with a flange designed in order to break in case of an impact causing the wiper unit (22) to move into a safer position. |
