PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking support system capable of easily acquiring a parking area where one's own vehicle is parked regardless of a large parking lot having a huge parking area. SOLUTION: When a vehicle 11 is parked at a specific parking area of a specific parking lot, a control section of a navigation apparatus 20 reads an identification code peculiar to the specific parking area by an on-vehicle camera 34. A control section acquires a parking lot ID and a parking area ID of the specific parking area from the read identification code, and searches information on the specific parking area based on the parking lot ID and the parking area ID. The control section displays information on the specific parking area at the display section of the navigation apparatus 20, based on information on the searched specific parking area, and transmits information on the specific parking area to a cellular phone unit 60, thus allowing the driver of the vehicle 11 to acquire the position of the own vehicle 11, based on information on the specific parking area transmitted to the cellular phone unit 60.
