PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of the eccentric accuracy and the deterioration of profile irregularity of a glass mold by reducing a clearance between the glass mold and a mold member. SOLUTION: This optical element mold 10 comprises the columnar glass molds 26, 44 having molding faces 27a, 46a and arranged in holes 18, 34 formed in a fixed mold 12 and a movable mold 14. The glass molds 26, 44 each have a linear expansion coefficientα<SB>1</SB>greater than a linear expansion coefficientα<SB>2</SB>of the fixed mold 12 (14), and consist of molding parts 27, 46 having the molding faces 27a, 46a, and fitted parts 28, 48 integrated with the molding parts 27, 46 and adapted to be integrally fitted to the fixed molds 12 (14) during heating, respectively. During heating, clearances g<SB>1</SB>exist between each of the molding parts 27, 46 and the fixed mold 12 (14) and no clearances exist between each of the fitted parts 28, 48 and the fixed mold 12 (14).
