PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new compounds, a method for producing them and a medicinal composition containing them. SOLUTION: A pleuromutilin derivative or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt is represented by formula (IA): wherein, n and m are each independently 0, 1 or 2; X is selected from -O-, -S-, -S(O)-, -SO<SB>2</SB>-, -CO-O-, -NH-, -CONH-, -NHCONH- and a bond; R<SP>1</SP>is vinyl or ethyl; R<SP>2</SP>is a nonaromatic monocyclic or bicyclic group that contains 1 or 2 basic nitrogen atoms and combines via a carbon atom in the ring; R<SP>3</SP>is H or OH; of which the 14th-place glycolic ester part is substituted with R<SP>2</SP>(CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>m</SB>X(CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>n</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>COO, or of which the 14th-place R<SP>2</SP>(CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>m</SB>X(CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>n</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>COO part is substituted with R<SP>a</SP>R<SP>b</SP>C=CHCOO.
