PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interior trimming part for an automobile to be installed on the cabin surface side of a side wall panel of the vehicle, in which an impact absorbing member comprising a hollow box member of resin is provided to absorb a collision by buckling to deform at the time of a side collision, while restricting excess reduction of reaction force in a second half part in the side collision. SOLUTION: The impact absorbing member 30 installed on a back surface of an impact area IA of the interior trimming part 10 for an automobile (door trim) 10 is composed of the hollow box member 31 (31A) formed as a prism of five sides or more, with an opening 32 set on the side of a trim main body 20, and a top face wall 34 on the side of a door panel 40. Corner cut parts 36 are opened at corner parts of the top face wall 34 to restrict increase of initial reaction at the time of a side collision. In the hollow box member 31 (31A), the side wall surface 35 makes buckling deformation outward in a second half range of a side collision, so that excess reduction of reaction in the second half part of the side collision is restricted.
