PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parallel mechanism for setting the position of a linear motion joint according to load applied to a link head when performing machining, or variably setting a distance between two rotary joints. SOLUTION: This parallel mechanism 300 controlling at least one of rotation and movement with three stages of freedom of the link head 301. The parallel mechanism 300 includes four actuators for driving the link head 301 and four links 350A, 350B, 351A and 351B connected to each of the four actuators, and is provided with link sets 350 and 351 connected to the link head 301.
