PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image conversion panel which is excellent in luminance and sharpness in itself, and to provide a method for manufacturing it.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the radiation image conversion panel which includes the process for forming a phosphor layer by heating an evaporation source containing phosphor material and evaporating the substance generated by the heating onto a substrate is characterized in that the temperature of the substrate during the evaporation is in the range between 60 and 110°C inclusive and also that the rate of the temperature rise in the range from the temperature of the substrate in the start of the evaporation to the maximum achieved temperature of the substrate during the evaporation is 0 to 5°C/min.
