PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device enabling measurement of vibrations of a head of a high frequency, its controller, and a head vibration measuring method. SOLUTION: The storage device enabling measurement of head vibrations is provided with a gate generation part for generating, from a storage medium where pieces of servo information having waveforms for measuring reproduced signal levels at predetermined intervals are written and a first wave form as a waveform for measuring a reproduced signal level in a first track as at least one predetermined track, a plurality of first gate signals indicating timing for reading servo information by a head and a second gate signal between the first gate signals as gate signals for measurement, and a measuring part for measuring the reproduced signal level of a measuring waveform reproduced by the head at the timing of the measuring gate signal.
