PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-repellent bulky polyester blended yarn which has a highly durable water-repellent property, even when the yarn is not subjected to a water-repellent treatment after processed into a fabric. SOLUTION: This bulky water-repellent polyester blended yarn produced by paralleling two or more kinds of undrawn polyester fibers having different natural draw ratios and then drawing the paralleled fibers in a draw ratio below the maximum value among the natural draw ratios and not below the minimum value, satisfyies the following requirements. (a) The undrawn polyester fibers having the highest natural draw ratio are polyester fibers containing a specific esterifiable silicone. (b) The polyester fibers containing the specific esterifiable silicone have a single fiber-water drop contact angle of≥110 degree, when 500 pl of pure water is put on the surface of the fiber. (c) The polyester fibers containing a specific esterifiable silicone contain the esterifiable silicone in an amount of 2 to 20 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the polymer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
