A power control system of a portable terminal is provided to play or stop the music as the user wears or takes off the earphones so that the user can easily control the portable terminal without manipulating buttons of the portable terminal body. A power control system of a portable terminal(100) comprises a pair of earphones(210,220) including respective touch sensors(211,221), a control device(300) which is connected to the earphones through an acoustic signal line and to the touch sensors through a sensing signal line, and a connector(400) which is positioned between the portable terminal and the control device so that the control device controls the portable terminal and the portable terminal transmits the acoustic signal to the control device.
