PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treated steel sheet having excellent corrosion resistance, finger mark resistance and surface conductivity in the surface treated steel sheet for an exterior metallic material used in electronic equipment such as home electronic products or a personal computer. SOLUTION: Recessed parts each having≥10μm and≤0.5 mm circle equivalent diameter and≥5μm depth are formed on the surface of a conductor roll, wherein total surface area of the openings of the recessed parts is≥10% and≤50% of the surface area of the conductor roll. It is prevented by using the conductor roll that a fine rugged structure of plated crystals formed on the surface of the plated steel sheet in the continuous electroplating process is collapsed by the conductor roll of the continuous electroplating apparatus to make the surface of the steel sheet flat.
