PURPOSE:To achieve printing by avoiding joints, through the feeding of a paper to the end of page without print if the print condition is changed and the printing from the headline of the next page, in a printer making paper feed control in page unit. CONSTITUTION:Switches 2-1 (paper length changeover switch) and 2-2 (6LPI/8LPI changeover switch, LPI is the abbreviation of the line per inch) changing the print condition are monitored at 5, and when one of them is depressed, a monitor circuit 5 sets a flag of a flag register 6. As a result, a control circuit 3 stops the print operation, drives an alarm display device 7 and makes paper feed corresponding to the remaining number of lines according to the original print conditions. In this state, if no print line set (TOF) switch 1 is depressed, the control circuit 3 keeps driving the alarm 7 and inversely, if the TOF switch 1 is depressed, the control circuit 3 restarts printing from the head line of the next page based on a new print condition. Thus, misoperation is prevented and useless printing can be prevented. |
