PURPOSE:To enable the series connection of a plurality of solar battery elements at a high speed without the generation of electrode stripping or cracks of said element. CONSTITUTION:A pair of flexible films 50 and 52 composed of flexible member such as polyester are arranged respectively on both surfaces of the solar battery elements 44a, 44b, and 44c with electrode patterns 40 and 42 formed on the light receiving surfaces and the back surfaces. Each element 44a, 44b, and 44c is sandwiched between the films 50 and 52 by means of a pressing structure 54 of quartz glass material, and thus the patterns 40 and 42 are put in close contact with a solder plating 48 on a conductive pattern 46. The patterns 40 and 42 are joined to the pattern 46 by irradiation with the light heat ray such as a YAG laser beam supplied to head parts 58 via glass fibers 56. Next, the elements 44a, 44b, and 44c are pressed by means of a quartz pressing structure 62 having projections positioned among all the elements, and then both the conductive member ends are welded by irradiating each element with light heat rays from the head parts 58 at a high speed. As a result, a plurality of the solar battery elements can be connected in series at a high speed. |
