PURPOSE:To form a film having uniform and correct thickness by cutting off with a cutting knife the surface of the primary film having viscosity, formed on the surface of cylindrical material, and having larger thickness than the final film while rotating the molded material, and forming the secondary film having final thickness. CONSTITUTION:The primary film 2a having larger thickness than the final film is formed by depositing a liquid film-forming material on the surface of a columnar or a cylindrical molded material 1. The molded material is rotated around the longitudinal axis, the surface of the film is cut off by pressing a cutting knife 4 on the primary film 2a, and the secondary film 2b having almost final thickness is formed. The molded material is further rotated until the secondary film is dried and cured. Accordingly, a thick film having uniform and correct thickness can be formed. Besides, after the secondary film is formed, a mirror surface having uniform thickness can be obtained by further rotating the molded material.
